Hi, I’m James and I have worked in the media industry for over 15 years. I’ve collaborated with the best of the best in TV, film and online. My fiancée Rachel also films for Film Our Day and is a talented camera operator. We are experts in producing premier quality video content and decided to dedicate our skills and experience to Film Our Day back in 2015. We love filming weddings and both feel passionate about working with couples to produce a film that you will cherish forever.

Sound Engineer – Dan Lucas

My interest in recording and production work began as a result of numerous studio visits as a teenager with my bands. I have a pretty old-skool approach to recording, and prefer the sound of records where you can hear that the artists have been pushed to deliver a great performance, and the energy of their music has been captured. That’s a priority for me, capturing the essence of a band or singer. I like my recordings to be organic sounding, generally pretty saturated, and with plenty of character. I love to experiment with different musical ideas and recording techniques to achieve the desired result, as well as getting creative during the mix stage.

Hmmm not very good at selfies

I see almost everything in terms of a photograph. I see light, I see shade and I see composition. I love shoes. I’ve learnt to see potential of rain on wedding days and I see that same potential in each and every one of my clients, whether they embrace having their photographs taken or whether they shy away. I get to meet amazing people, share their celebrations, their laughter and their tears of joy. This makes me happy.

Manager – Janet

IMG_2866One of the most exciting aspects of working as a Manager, is that every day brings something different. Whether that’s talking to your clients, listening to the musician’s latest tracks, booking events, or planning an international performance or tour.  I love it all. After all, it’s not everyday someone can sit and listen to live harp music, whilst doing paperwork! It’s not just about being organised and good at planning, but having the passion for what you do, and that’s the reason I do it. Because I’m driven, and can always see potential when there is talent.

My favourite music genres are contemporary classical, alternative folk-rock and new age music.
